Be part of the next step in establishing CreekSide Co-op as the premier community shopping experience in Elkins Park. There are 8 seats available for this year's ballot. The nominating Committee would like to provide a choice of at least 15 candidates.
Who is Eligible?
- Any adult member (over 18 years old) of the Creek Side Co-op
- No more than one person in a household can be nominated.
Interested in becoming a board member?
How is a Candidate Nominated?
Any eligible member can nominate herself or himself by submitting
- a short bio including the nominee's name and applicable experience.
- a position statement (of no more than 750 words) explaining why the nominee wants to serve, and what skills and insights she or he would bring to the board.
- a recent (no more than 1 year old) digital photo of the nominee is suggested, but not required.
Any number of candidates can be nominated to fill the eight open board positions.
In order to place your name in nomination please submit information listed above to
elections@creekside.coop by November 20. We plan to have two "meet the candidates" events before voting begins. Details coming soon.

Our deep thanks to all the volunteers - of all sizes! - that have joined us over the last few days to help stock the shelves. As much as we think about it and know what is happening, actually seeing food on the shelves after so many years of dreaming about it is simply astounding. Seeing our members joining together to make this dream a reality continues to be extremely moving for all of us. Thank you! In less than a week the market will be open!;)
