CreekSide Coop Announces Hiring of New General Manager

CreekSide just celebrated its 3rd Anniversary. We have come so far in 3 years and it is with great enthusiasm that we look to our future opportunities and growth.
After an extensive search, the CreekSide Co-op Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Duncan MacGilvray as CreekSide’s new General Manager. Duncan joins us with a diversified background in the food services industry, most recently at the Food Bank of South Jersey which distributes 10.5 million pounds of food through a member network of 200+ food pantries and meal kitchens. As Director of Operations, Duncan has been responsible for overall fiscal and operational performance, including management of the 65,000 square foot food distribution center and its staff of 45.
We are confident that Duncan will provide the vision and leadership to propel CreekSide to new heights, both in terms of store performance and community engagement. Duncan resides in Blue Bell, is married and has a son. He will start as CreekSide’s General Manager on November 30, 2015. When you see him, please introduce yourself and give him a warm and inviting CreekSide welcome.
In addition to the General Manager position being filled, we want to remind you about CreekSide’s Board election coming up soon. Look for candidate profiles on the co-op website starting November 10. Voting opens in the store and on-line on November 16 and closes December 6. We have a strong slate of nominees who have put themselves forward to represent the membership in the governance of the co-op and to work with Duncan and staff to steer the Coop into the future. There are 11 candidates for 8 open seats – make your voice heard by voting for your Board!
