Declaration of Interdependence
We the owners and shoppers of CreekSide Co-op declare ourselves accountable for the viability of our treasured community.
On the shoulders of and despite significant accomplishments our anchor in the community needs us right now to secure a level of income that achieves financial stability and allows CreekSide to continue as an example of and leader in the exciting evolution of Elkins Park and surrounding areas.
$20 more per week! That is the call to arms in this fight to realize our vision for community. If 1000 of us – half of Creekside's members – accept the challenge to spend $20 more per week, we will have solved the immediate need to establish ourselves as a viable entity. The struggle to survive and thrive will be won!
Beyond a food store, CreekSide Co-op is a powerful expression of what is possible when we the people remain committed to an ideal – a way of living that we are fortunate to experience on a daily basis. Our Co-op has been instrumental in that growth, and its loss would be devastating. Yet despite our best intentions and worst fears, we have come face-to-face with this possibility – the very disappearance of CreekSide Co-op.
By signing this I declare myself a committed partner in this quality-of-life breakthrough for all of us. I am joining my friends and neighbors in spending at least $20 more per week at CreekSide, and sharing my commitment to our community with others. I shop where they serve community!
See you at the Co-op!
